This unit will work closely with the information and
communication unit to see that the information on all NGO's
are collected and transferred to district, divisional and
Grama Niladari level while collecting the District report from
the National Disaster Management Team as well as the Disaster
Risk Management Team which includes the information of the
Needs of the area and the participation of NGO's to supply
them. The information collected by the Registration of NGOs
will be then matched with the district reports in order to
ascertain if the participation of the NGO and match it with
the needs of the area. This will also provide CNGS a clear
picture on the NGO participation in the districts and the work
taken over by them.
Objectives
Collection of information
of NGO who want to participate in post tsunami
reconstruction.
Collect information on
District Level on the Urgent needs.
Collect information on the
current activities on NGO's in the district and their
participation on the reconstruction.
Provide information to the
District Secretaries on the interest of NGO's who fulfill
the needs of the area.
Monitor if the NGO's are
using the resource pledged to the Government in the area.
Prepare information
sharing network for the total coordination on Disaster
Response to all levels.
Have work plan ready to
respond to any disaster at short notice with the
identification of resources and persons.
