Information & Communication

Responsibilities

This unit will be responsible for handling all electronic data computing and dissemination to the relevant sources and making electronic presentation as and when required. The unit will also be in charge of creating and maintaining the web site of the unit. the information collected from the NGO's will go into a common database with shall information of its activities and be matched with the requirements of the districts and division. this database will also help monitor the activities of the NGO's in the different areas. it will also be very useful for gathering data on each NGO presence in the districts at any given time and the areas they are involved in. They will coordinate with the Disaster Management Teams for Information.

Objectives

	To gather information on all NGO activity and make it available electronically.

	To present information electronically.

	To register and have in electronic form all information on NGO's.

	To have information on NGO activity in the districts on the web for transparency.

	To make presentation as required on the resource made available by the NGO's.

	To map a clear method to gather and disseminate information on disaster management methodically.

	Handle media related matters.
